Story.

Tara's pov:

It was a rainy day in Kerala, after college me and sissira were walking towards our home,but seeing the rain we couldn't control ourselves and started enjoying that, clearly forgetting about everything...

AFTER SOMETIME:

I looked at sissira "girl aren't we getting late for home?"

Sissira glanced at her wristwatch and looked at me in shock and fear she replied "Tara it's 6:00 PM!"

I looked at her in shock, knowing very well that a boom was going to blast at us when we reached home.We both quickly grabbed our things and ran towards our car,not looking here or there just want to reach home as soon as possible, sissira drove the car and as soon as possible i reached my home,she dropped me and left.I looked at my home, scared and nervous.

I always walked towards my home, slowly opening the door and slowly slowly the door.As i turned around my mom was standing in front of me,her face was red with rage and that Time my heart beat stopped,i slowly managed to speak

"Amma..." She cut me off " where were you!?"

I nervously replied "i..i was with sissira playing in the rain.."

She looked at me with disbelief and anger." have you even noticed the time!!"

my voice catches in my throat but somehow i replied "i.. I'm sorry Amma"

from behind her my father came and signed me to go upstairs to my room. I slowly walked,my head was down, water was dripping from my clothes and hairs.

I could hear my mom was still shouting and scolding me.But i quickly went to my room and got in the bathroom,i got a hot bath feeling better and changed my clothes into my night dress.

I slowly came downstairs and saw my mom was in kitchen and dad was sitting in the living room,i made my way to living room, sitting down on the couch and looked at mom, who brought me a cup of hot chocolate and my fav cookies.

I looked at my dad in confusion,he chuckled softly and whispered "she can be angry at you but still she is your mother".

I smiled and took a sip from the hot chocolate,a relief wash over me,i took my phone and started to scroll.

Suddenly a notification pops into my phone,the cookie I was eating fell down, i was looking shocked and excited.

My heart skipped a beat as i saw the notification,my breath catchs in my throat,i slowly looked at my father.

"Dad,i..i.."i wasn't able to talk properly, my dad looked at me and asked "what happened dear? Is everything okay?"

However I managed to nod,i took a deep breath and replied "Dad,i got a trip to Italy,as a project for my upcoming designs,they msg me that I have to go Italy to attend a fashion show for some ideas."

I slowly looked at my father.who was so shocked and looking at me in disbelief." You.. have to go to Italy?"

I looked at him,my eyes filled with unshed tears,my voice was low " please dad, it's about my project."

I looked at him with pleading eyes. My dad shake his head,not knowing what should he do.my mom came to living room and looked at my dad in confusion.

she asked " what happened?" She sat down next to my dad,i looked at her. My dad looked at her and replied. "Our daughter got a project from college and she has to go to Italy for it."

My mom was taken back ,by the news,i looked at her with pleading eyes,I asked."please mom can I go, it's important."

She looked at me and shake her head, clearly not pleased with the thought of me going to Italy. She sighed and asked."For how many days?"i looked at her and replied in a low voice "one week".

my mom was hesitating and not wanting me to go,she looked at my dad who was clearly not agreeing with this,she sighed and asked "Are you going alone?"

I looked at her and replied "They told me that I can take any one person with me for my safety and I was thinking I'll take sissira with me."

My mom looked at me and then my dad, finally with a sigh she nod, and replied"you can go,but remember you have to call us everyday and be careful there,no wandering off with boys, it's really not safe for you."

I looked at her relief wash over me,a single tear rolled down from my cheek,tear of joy,i quickly hugged her " Thank you so much mom!"

She hugged me back and replied."Hmm. just take care there okay?"

I looked at her,and quickly nodded"i promise!" She smiled.And replied "why don't you go and tell sissira about this"

i nodded eagerly and got up from the couch , walking to the stairs,i quickly called sissira "heyy! You know i have big news!!"

I got in my room and flop on my bed. Sissira replied "why? Don't tell me you got a boyfriend!".

I rolled my eyes Playfully even through she can't see it " Noo! Idiot i have a bigger news." Sissira replied "Okay, Thank God you didn't get a boyfriend she chuckled so tell me?"

I giggled. "girl i got a project to Italy and WE ARE GOING TO ITALY!!"

Sissira gasp in shock" WHAT! ITALY? Are you serious!" I giggled.

"yes I'm serious ,and your coming with me" sissira replied,her voice was filled with happiness"Oh god,girll! I can't tell you how happy I'm! We are going to Italy..omg!" I smiled to myself "yeah,yeah, so I'll send you the information of this trip laterrr..." Sissira replied excitedly"okay, I'll be waiting! I love you rabbit!" I chuckled softly"i love you too Kitten"

End the call...

I looked up at the ceiling and smiled...
